VULCANO

High-Temperature Outsole

Outsole VULCANO

The Vulcano outsole, produced in dual-density nitrile rubber and injected directly into the upper, was engineered to withstand extreme working conditions. It features superior resistance to oils, fuels, greases, and abrasion, ensuring extended durability in heavy industrial environments. Additionally, it offers efficient thermal insulation in high-temperature areas.

The robust design incorporates gripping channels and a drainage system that prevents debris accumulation, ensuring anti-slip performance on various surfaces. The anti-torsion bar reinforces stability, while the Full Impact system evenly distributes step energy, reducing fatigue and maintaining balance. The Correct Folder promotes natural foot movement, enhancing ground contact, while the ABS System ensures maximum slip resistance, meeting the highest certification standards.

Combining chemical resistance, thermal protection, and ergonomic comfort, the Vulcano outsole is recommended for professionals in sectors such as metallurgy, construction, and chemical industries, where safety and durability are essential requirements.

It holds a SRC classification, considered the most comprehensive in slip resistance testing, as it combines tests on ceramic tile floors with detergent solution (SRA) and on steel floors with glycerol solution (SRB).

Outsole Performance and Safety

Outsole Performance and Safety

The Vulcano outsole has an SRC classification, meeting the slip resistance requirements set forth in the SRA and SRB tests. This feature reinforces safety during movement across different floor conditions, especially in work environments where grip is an essential factor for user protection.

In addition to anti-slip performance, the outsole is resistant to fuel oil (FO), according to the requirements of the ABNT NBR ISO 20345, ABNT NBR ISO 20346, and ABNT NBR ISO 20347 standards.

Another highlight is heel energy absorption (E). While the standards establish a minimum absorption of 20 joules, the tests carried out on the models reach results between 30 and 35 joules, contributing to the reduction of impacts while walking and providing greater comfort to the user.

Outsole slip resistance (SRC)

The model also features adherent channels, which provide greater friction and performance in ground grip.

In addition to a drainage system with outflow channels that prevent residue retention.

In turn, the Flex Point system provides greater flexibility and safety by eliminating corners and heel openings.

The Full Impact system absorbs and uniformly redistributes the energy of the foot strike across the entire outsole.

This system also assists in pronation correction and enables total balance and walking quality.

It also features the Correct Folder system, which provides correct foot flexion and ensures greater contact and grip to the ground in various conditions and terrains.

The model also features the ABS System, a perfect anti-slip system, unique in its category.

Outsole Slip Resistance (SRC)

The outsole of this line is SRC, meaning it is approved in all tests specified in ABNT NBR ISO 20345 (Safety Footwear), ABNT NBR ISO 20346 (Protective Footwear), and ABNT NBR ISO 20347 (Occupational Footwear) standards, offering users the safest option regarding slipping.

The test is performed from flat to forward and heel to forward in two floor conditions: ceramic tile floor with detergent solution; and steel floor with glycerol (oil) solution.

All Safetline outsoles also have fuel oil resistance (FO) as per the requirements of the above standards.

Another aspect where the company's outsoles stand out is in the heel impact absorption test (E).

The standards require a minimum impact absorption of 20 joules.

Model tests achieve results of 30 to 35 joules, providing great comfort to the user.
